Minnesota - Sewn With Love - Angel Gown Event

Join us as we take apart dresses that will be made into "angel gowns/outfits" for stillborn babies. There is a need for more dresses too so please collect if you can. All are invited! Thank you!  If you can't make it this time - we collect gowns and fabric all year long!  

WHEN: Saturday, February 3, 2017 -- 10 am until 3 pm - come when you can, stay as long as you can!

WHERE: Star Legacy Foundation - 7820 Terrey Pine Court, Suite #80, Eden Prairie, MN 55347

BRING: donated dresses and a pair of scissors or a seam ripper.

In 2017 Star Legacy Foundation received donations of over 800 wedding, bridesmaid, prom and other dresses.  Our volunteers took these gowns apart into pieces of fabric.  Boxes of these fabric pieces are then sent off to our volunteer seamstresses who turn them into beautiful burial items for precious babies.  We make gowns in various sizes for all babies - and for the tinest of babies who are impossible to dress, we have beautiful 'envelope' type wraps that we use.  

In 2017 Star Legacy Foundation sent over 4,000 items  to hospitals all across the United States to provide to their loss families. 

In addition, our volunteers also need soft fabrics such as cotton, fleece, baby weight knits and flannel to use to make hats, blankets and diapers for these babies.  Please let us know if you would like to help with these projects.  We also have volunteers that knit and crochet items for us - blankets, outfits, prayer shawls for parents and more.

Do you sew, knit, crochet?  If you'd like to join our team - let us know!!  The demand is great and we can always use more folks to help.  And we even have patterns to get you started!
