Objectives: At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss recent research publications related to perinatal loss
  • Formulate approaches to incorporating new research into care and providing education to families regarding evidence-based practices.
  • Examine the role of memory making in the perinatal loss grief journey
  • Identify opportunities for memory making during perinatal bereavement
  • Describe first-hand accounts of perinatal loss and the impact of loss
  • Examine perinatal evaluation options
  • Identify the role of cultural needs, financial restrictions, myths in perinatal loss evaluation

Continuing Education:

NURSES: This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Washington State Nurses Association Approver of Continuing Nursing Education, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
