OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Incorporate holistic care and care of the extended family into a plan for families experiencing perinatal loss
• Identify evidence-based interventions for use with families experiencing perinatal loss
• Provide education to families regarding perinatal loss
• Evaluate the emotional and physical needs of families in a pregnancy after a loss
• Discuss resources for families and health professionals in perinatal loss settings
• Identify strategies for self-care when caring for bereaved families
